I am trying out an unlicensed version of Stereo Tool. It will randomly go to robotic audio. I close the app and restart it and the problem is cleared up until next time. I noticed the "Input buffer usage" bar is always maxed out. I can not find any settings that address this issue. Looking for some help.

I am running a Focusrite USB Audio interface.

First, what is your chosen input and output APO? (ASIO, Direct Sound, WASAPI, MME, etc?) If one is giving you trouble, try another. Also the lower your Diversity Delay buffer, the more likely you will get audio glitches.

I would make sure to use the ASIO driver and selection in Stereo Tool's HD output since this interface is supposed to come with its own ASIO driver. I get a stable signal and buffer bar with a relatively low delay buffer (less than 80ms) with my ASIO devices.

Also, the underlying I/O code is currently in the process of being rewritten. So, keep an eye out for that to come to beta sooner or later.

Does this happen with ASIO since the ESI cards have their own ASIO driver?

I'm both a big user and a victim of the Focusrite USB audio interface problem. I had several Focusrite USB recording interfaces (2I2, 4I4), but I don't use them anymore.

I've encountered your problem before. My solution was to replace the USB cable. If you're using an extension cable, I suggest replacing that as well.

I spent a long time searching for this problem, and just when I was about to give up and buy a new USB recording interface, I replaced the cable, and the problem was perfectly solved and never occurred again.

As for ASIO, "FlexASIO" is currently the most user-friendly, supporting almost everything, even the motherboard's built-in audio unit (Realtek®) can achieve very low latency.

The download link for the one-click installation version of "FlexASIO" is as follows:
