Hans, there's something pertaining to the functionality of VST plugin version of ST that I wanted to bring to your notice. It's about resampling. The plugin works fine at 44.1 KHz. Anything other than this, it actually plays the sound faster or slower. So, 32KHz sounds warm and slower than 44.1 Khz. On the other hand sampling at 48, 96 or 192 KHz makes it sound chirpier and play at a fast rate.
Just to make sure the problem isn't with the VST hosting app, I tried it on several of them. Namely, SoundForge, Audition(using a VST to DX adapter), dBpoweramp, foobar, Winamp. You name it. It's the same glitch.
I even downloaded the Standalone and Winamp DSP versions. Standalone doesnot have any problems concerning sampling rates at any resolution. Not sure of the Winamp DSP. Still working on it.
On what VST host(s) have you tested ST? Does it work fine on your system at sampling rates other than 44.1KHz?
It's not an SOS call, but just wanted to keep you informed, considering final release of ST 5.10 is around the corner. May be as an addition to your things-to-do list
