Hi Hvz,

Yes correct I have 2 sound cards (both 192KHz)... however the input sound card is only creating a "Stereo Mix" type input via standard sound output (44.1KHz is the output of the playout but it's into the 192KHz interface) for ST to pick up and push to the output sound card which is ASIO.

This is because the playout system I am using cannot address ASIO or talk directly to ST, so I push the output to the first sound card which also has the internal audio (speakers) output option. Then in ST I pick up the "Stereo Mix".

All cards are hard set to 192KHz.

I have dropped the CPU Quality to 60% and it is maintaining the buffer OK - ie: no reduction of buffer in 30 mins.

I can't use the FM composite clipper at all, it drains the buffer even at CPU Strictness = 3.

Cheers

BeDazzler.

Maybe I'm stuppid, blind and deaf but really don't hear and see difference between analog and digital mode.
I have good studio speakers and phones but I can't..

I tried more track and something is a bit better with analog

Wow i love that sound. I am waiting for limiters and gates. Well done Hans and thank you very much (and please excuse me for my skepticism in the Telos post.) One wish though. If you put gates in the new MB (analog one) please put gate indicators in the MB meters.
Will do!

By the way, when you use both compressors, I don't really see a need for a limiter anymore... (but I'll add one anyway).
Thanks Hans. Yes if you use both compressors in peak mode then the limiter is not needed. But i like to use the first compressor in rms mode with very slow release time (so it act like an multiband agc) and the second one in peak mode. In this configuration limiting is (kinda) needed.

Sincerely Yours
Kostas

Bug : Every time i resize the ST Window the gui crashes but the audio processing continues. ST version 7.61 latest beta.

Restarting the program does not solve the problem. (it displays a blank white window and audio processing starts). The only solution is to go to stereo_tool.ini and change the window size.

I confirm hanging when you try to switch to 8 bands in MB2 .
And then program hanging every time you start it. Close via X but cannot start after that.

great work! i love the sound really much! thank you for using my test file, and for the analyse of it. in the newest beta the effect has gone through the 2nd compressor!

i have some suggestions to the vst plugin:

can you maybe make the size of the plugin changeable via the configuration file in the user dictionary? you can start with the actual size, but if you have a big screen, it would be nice, if you can change the size via a setting.

is it also be possible to save the PNR settings in the vst settings? i did not see it on your todo list anymore. i cannot apply it, because audition always applies the settings again, and so the information gets lost. i would be really greatful, if you can add it to the settings in any way. the result of this filter is very impressive, and i want to use it on some audio files. and because the command line tool can only work with 44100/16 wave files, and i am using 48000/24 so i cannot use it.

thank you for your great work, in the last month! :)
