It makes sense for me to the Normal Output and FM together . And only don`t want to "See" this "damage" when emphasised . So Simple clipper is good to be "separate" just like the Advanced . Is this hard to do ? Bcause Normal output must have some Clipper (even Simple) but why this effect appears together with the Pre-emphasis i don`t know.
I think Simple clipper must stay , but if you want to make this "damage" not to be in the Normal output , then make it . If not - don`t worry , be happy , right ? :)

As i say before you can use this "checkbox" that is not visible for now for this "fix"

Do you have this connected to a transmitter?

I can hear what is coming out from transmitter too. So what i`m telling to Hans is from tests and only tests. Try it your self if you want and you will want this "damage" (like Hans called it) not to be there.
I think it`s a bug behavour for the "Separate stream output" setting. Simple clipper sounds not so bad for a real simple clip for the FM

I think best for you would be to use 2 instances.
1 with settings for transmitter (pre-emphasis and hard limit should be on).
2 with other settings for normal output / stream.

Yep, but the idea for these settings are just for not using many instances , right ?
I got what you are mean and this is solution indeed, but...

Hmm.. It seems the FLAC does not work at all with RTP.. It does partially work with Icecast but no audio is coming although network bandwidth is being used.
Can you get it to work with VLC without using Stereo Tool?
Nope, I can't.. I think it's a bug that is not going to be fixed.. ever. Trying to stream FLAC with OGG container over RTP creates "cannot create packetizer output" -error. Even FLAC with no mux does not work. All this in the VLC, not in Stereo Tool. We are doomed.

Point is that this combination of settings makes no sense - if you use FM you kinda *have* to use the Advanced Clipper to get a compliant signal, and then you have this issue.

Fixing this would either increase complexity or increase the CPU load (the whole idea is that the lowest possible number of processing steps are done twice to minimize the effect on the CPU load of having differently processed outputs). And since I don't expect anyone to use this combination of settings, I see no reason to fix it.

I only must tell all this , because i saw it not that good for a "Separate" processing. So my own idea was to use the lowest possible CPU load , you know that difference from Simple to Advanced clipper is about twice the load with Simple one or in other words 15% additional load.
The fixing of this is your decision. And again i say that Simple clipper is not sounding bad from FM output.
I agree that intersample spikes are not clipped but is not that bad as you say :)

DJ-DOGGY, i use 2 ST with different settings. 1 FM and 1 Web, even now with the last version, i will continue use 2. This version is VERY good for some users which Pc power cant handle 2 ST.
