It's working here. What exactly slider you are adjusting?

Edit: Ah, Right click will return it to ST defaults not to your loaded preset default :)

hans was it always normal that in the free version that you hear every 12 hours the jingle, this sound is processed by stereo tool? while i don't even use the registrated options?
No, but I've checked it and I don't see this behavior. Are you sure that you're not using anything that requires registration? (Check the bar at the center of the window)

Nearly there! Most interesting change: Input sound card GAIN added!
Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-063.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-063.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 33-063.dll
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-063.exe

Done:
- Red declipper display broken (caused by memory optimization)
- Increase minimum buffer size to 0.001 s
- Add input sound card Gain
- Stokkemask broken at latency 512: "clean1ch" called with SMALL_Number <= Number
- Crash when loading built-in preset (debug assert, j_copy_ch == 0) - might have caused the channels to be swapped
- Make Linux version build again (not good for releasing now)
- Change version number

TODO:
- Fix gain and tilt display
- Check ASIO configuration (Garfield)
- Add presets

Less urgent for usability:
- Design (several people are working on something)

For later:
- Add 'purpose based' view on settings (for example all settings that affect bass combined).
- Multi-language support
- Add basic/advanced modes
- Add '-6' '-12' etc. beside output bars where possible.
- Context sensitive Help (help button should be next to the preset buttons)
- Drag (resize window parts) lines, also between to/bottom part (scopes/meters).
- Confirm on close (stand alone version)

Excellent.

Assume this is internal gain and can't clip in extreme cases (eg input level hits -5dbfs and ST-SA is set for 20db input gain?)

So correct setup would be to dial in input gain equal to how far the nominal input level is below 0dbfs? eg if nominal input level sits around -20dbfs, then set ST input gain to 20db.

As I recall ST-SA has an input bit depth of 16 bits at some point - where is that bit depth limitation in respect to the input gain stage? For example, if a nominal input device is nominally -20dbfs @ 24 bit, would this low level negatively effect the quality at the stage it hits only 16 bit resolution within ST-SA, or does the new input gain feature resolve that issue? AJ

Also, will declipper behave ok with default settings when it processes input signals above 0.

And wondering, ideally should the input scope meter on the main display also have the same gain applied to it internally, or perhaps not? AJ

input Gain is usually used when you have very low input signal, simple as that. Usually it happens with some units like Axia's digital over ip units, where level is way under 0dB.
It's bit wrongly implemented, should be before pre-amp.

Yes, I should have said reason for my query was that we use Axia AoIP drivers with a facility wide nominal '0' level of -20dbfs 24 bit.

Not sure what you mean by that.
