Hi,

i want to make a sound similar that station:

Bayern 3

The Problem i got is with the highs. with stereotool i always get to many highs. if i use a equalizer then i got to less highs. if i reduce the MB i got to many highs. if i reduce the high output in MB it also sounds really bad. for example, if you start with the preset bocha unveil, i got to many highs. its to bright. other presets are more brighter. i don't find a preset that does not have so much highs.

can anybody help me to make a preset that sounds like this station?

thank you in advance!

Just checked that stream.. sounds nice with some strange compression artifacts (Hey Brother - Avicii on air). Also it has plenty of highs, not more or less in my oppinion.

I can send you my latest version if you want? It pretty much sound like this, exept overall softness.

The latest Nero AAC codec makes very low quality audio sound rather good by doing some unusual stuff with the highs, kind of like a delay. The web stations in my area use it so it's possible Bayern 3 does too.

Here's an untouched preview of a song converted to 64 kbps AAC with the latest Nero codec.

Actually this effect is called pre-echo and it is in fact a known AAC artifact :)

Hi at all,

thank you for your answers. i am sorry for the late reply. in the newest version the problem, which i mentioned in the first post does not really occur anymore. the newest version of the preset Bocha Unvail sounds really great, especially because it's really soft and warm. maybe the new band coupling has a effect to this.
