Sorry for not responding - I read your post and wanted to check it but forgot  It *should* work on multiple cores, unless the environment variable NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS is set to 1 (or less). I'll run a test tomorrow to check what's happening. Anyway, the settings in the .sts file are ok (they should make it work on multiple cores). |

O wow. It would probably help if I remove the line: common->MULTICORE = false; from the command line version.....  Done, please wait for the next beta... |

Ok, there was a reason why that line was there - with multicore on the command line version doesn't work. I know how to fix it but it will take some time. |

Try the Windows version here: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4846&start=32 I realized this afternoon that there are 2 types of multi-threading in Stereo Tool: - Inside filters. For example multiband or clipping is done in multiple threads. - Some filters at the end of the chain are also multi-threaded. This has very little impact on the performance anymore. The 'inside filters' multi-threading is now enabled for the command line version and Linux versions. |
