Not sure why you're using the "soft" one, because that's in the "generic" section, not the "web" section. Generics are generally not for streaming, while the web section presets are for streaming, specifically the MP3 pre-emphasis.
I think Bojcha was trying to say that the built-in preset (my original) works better, but not exactly sure that's what he meant.
Edit: I checked, and apparently the built-in "WEB RADIO STATIONS" version does not have the MP3 pre-emphasis enabled.

I perhaps forgot to do that before I posted it here, because preemphasising causes significant CPU load on my system.
At any rate, Purity Control was an attempt at having bass compressed, but mids and highs be less compressed and/or more limited rather than compressed. It was designed a while ago, before Hans changed to the newer multiband. The newer multiband gives more control than the old multiband, so what I attempted to do can probably now be done with the new multiband.
Whatever you have running right now, at 10:05 PM EDT, with track "Lucky Star" - Madonna, sounds ok. Maybe a little bass heavy, but most of what I do has more bass.
If you want to post the preset file, Bojcha and I can look and see what we think. Alternatively, you might try Cobalt, or Eu4ria II (Bojcha).
