Hello Salvo, Could you please try to answer the following questions? 1. What exactly does "freeze" mean? Is the CPU load too high? If so, you could try the following things: - Set the Quality to "Low". - Disable "Multiband HQ". - If that is not enough, set Loudness to 1.00. If that didn't solve the problem: 2. Which version of Stereo Tool are you using? Stand alone, Winamp or VST? 3. If you're using the Winamp plugin, what kind of files are you playing? There is a bug in the WAV files input plugin of Winamp which can cause Winamp + Stereo Tool to freeze in some situations. MP3s should run fine. |

I'm experiencing freezing of Stereo Tool 3.40 using the latest Winamp (Vista 32-bit). The sound still plays but Stereo Tool loses responsiveness (can't change options, buttons go black, can't open or close the window). So far I haven't worked out the cause, and it's happened even when I try disabling features and using low-cpu. Any ideas? |

Does this always happen (immediately?), or only sometimes? And does it happen if you're not playing music? Do you know if the freeze starts when Winamp switches to the next track (that has been a problem in the past that SHOULD have been solved a long time ago...) When the freeze occurs, are the volume bars etc. still being updated? |

Only happens sometimes during the playing of music. Music continues to play and yes the volume bars are displaying, otherwise I can't change anything or close the plugin. I switched to 3.30 and the problem has happened once since... if I spot a pattern I'll let you know. |

Oh and another freeze happens when I press configure plugin under DSP/effect in preferences. |
