I've been messing with audio processing since about 1970. Used them all from RCA-BA-6, Level Devil, Audimax and Volumax, DAPS, Orbans, Texars, Inovonics, Teletronics, Gates, Harris, Omnias,
etc. I guess it's a passion with things learned from some of the greats in audio processing. I downloaded ST to play with. No longer involved with broadcast any more, but decided I would come up with a preset that would make those modulator tubes glow red-hot and scream out of your AM radio. I would not use this for FM...

I'm trying this one on our station 1310 KEIN. Really looking for a preset that will help bring out the quality of AM.

in early fm days, most stations used AM processors.

ill give this preset a try, disable agc reduce multiband drive and see if I could get close to 1980s BBC Radio 1 VHF.

edit, it sounds so bright, with agc and reduced multiband 1 drive i've got very clean audio(pretty close, sounds better than pontop pike vhf lol)

the quiet portions of songs are very notable (like 80s bbc vhf)


im doing a research what bbc used for early VHF broadcasts, its quite tricky to find. My guess is they used analogue processors
