When enabling FM mode/direct to sound card mode a new graph appears to the right of the oscilloscope.
What is this? What is it showing? How do I read it?

thanks :)

Hi Gtxx,

This is a spectrogram (frequency (hor) vs. amplitude (v)) of what's being sent to the sound card.

What you see is:

- Left: The normal signal
- Single spike: FM Stereo pilot tone
- Then you see the stereo signal
- Finally, the RDS signal

It looks cool lol but since I'm not transmitting I have no use for it.
Would an option to turn it off be possible?

No... But why do you use the FM options if you're not broadcasting on FM? The sound quality is better without it... And you shouldn't NEED Direct Sound Card access...

I'm using BA live and rather than route through BA again I have ST output direct to the card.
I send unprocessed audio to BA's line 2 which I use as input for winamp when running milkdrop.
Weird setup but it works! :)

I notice a difference in the clarity of high freqs when using direct to sound card than routing through winamp. <- thats when I used to use ST only for winamp.

I was just suggesting something :P I have no issue, it doesn't affect cpu usage to my knowledge.
