It would be nice to be able to insert metadata into the audio streams.
Like in altacast the following options

- text file (created by radio automation) (preferred by me )
- URL
- grab meta data from a windows tile

This way i can dump the old not maintained altacast encoder.

I dived into this section today as there's no way I can get metadata from PlayIt Live apart from using their own "Internet Broadcaster" plugin. I haven't downloaded the beta version of ST yet has this section been updated?

For the record I love ST since I discovered it, well worth the money to sound the business.

From the output of ST, I use Liquidaudio as the encoder and Icecast as the streamer - I wish there was an easy way for this chain to somehow pick up the metadata from Moodeaudio (or Rivendell in the future) so the metadata is easily injected to provide the readout for radio receivers!

Moodeaudio can output a text file, which I think is JSON format, that can be used to collect the meta data information. This is accessible via URL or file location iirc.
