This new beta version sounds wonderful. The "Born in the USA" drum sounds much more powerful now. ![]() |

Only difference is new filter in AGC. I can understand "drums" but not "highs". |

As I previously attempted to mention, percussion instruments do not only live in the lower frequency ranges. The issue with the volume spike in "The Pretender" - the spike is not in the lower frequency range. Without the gating technique, slower upspeed, and changed percentages I've been using in the AGC, you can look at what it does in 3-band mode with the "vanilla" preset you sent to me in PM, or in Neodymium. Sharp spikes from percussion instruments might be being better clamped across their entire frequency range now, which frees up harmonic energy for other things. |

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 22-014.exe DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 22-014.exe VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 22-014.dll[/quote] Installing the above I still see on the title bar 6.21 and not 6.22. Is this by design? An issue? OR is there an installation issue on my side? any news on documentation? |

With BETA's this number is mostly not changed, only later with the final release. |

New (I think better) Stokkemasker *clipper* (yes, clipper instead of limiter). Note: I have no means to accurately determine how close my clipper gets to the allowed thresholds. I have reasons to assume that it gets very close - but does not go over. Hello from me again . I have a question . Why version 6.21 consumes around 50-51 Mb of memory but 6.22 goes to around 160 .. look at the picture . Is this normal ? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/213/memoryst.jpg/ |

Wow, that's a lot. I think it must be the BS412 history that I keep to be able to draw a graph on screen for the last 5 minutes/hour/day. I'll look into it - the least I can do is NOT allocate the memory until someone enables BS412. And maybe condense older data.
