Wow! I like this beta a lot. Tad perkier. For the same buffer size in player I can keep transients in the expander.
Importantly, it sounds a lot cleaner, highs are lot more transparent and have air - in comparison with beta21(last VST available).

@phoenix could you update the preset for Omnia 6 Exi and the latest beta of stereotool.

The only change vs. 021 should be the different de-esser and bass protection value calculation. I didn't notice any changes in performance - but it might be a bit faster (or slower) on different systems due to cache sizes etc. - I am using a bit less memory and code now.

I stacked both VST versions in the plugin chain of J River Media Center 17, set the WASAPI output buffer size to 25 ms (under virtual machine environment).
Loaded the same preset (which has Natural Dynamics enabled with sustaining transients) in both versions. With beta 24 enabled, music plays without any hiccups/breaks. Not possible with beta 21 at all.
However, it's the clarity in the new beta that I am smitten by. Clean highs! Thanks a tonne for this beta... :)

Tough proposition that one! The thing is I pretty much gave up making any further efforts to create a preset. And honestly, I myself have moved away from that(Pristine/BBC Radio One) preset's sound profile. Sounded good within the limitations that StereoTool imposed at that time. Not anymore.
Given the fact, I have had no background in DSP and/or audio processing, I have no shame admitting that the documented approach vs my experience with creating ST presets has been something like this:

A lot happened since I last published a preset. I was striving to achieve a very clear transparent sound. Couldn't do so, got saturated listening for extended periods. Chanced upon Bojcha's draft Orban preset. Sounded good for a change due to harmonics initially. But soon that felt like hurting specially if I were listening to in-ear earphones(mean no offence to him or his work).
Until recently when I got a new sound card, I began working on new one - with a different approach. That's the troll scientist(right side) in the picture.

If you like this sound profile, I would probably publish it as either a new preset or as an update for Pristine/BBC Radio One.

I never looked at CPU usage.. but with this last beta i have less cpu usage. (compared to beta20[f])
