the pre amp should no longer be used?
How should you be able to lower the volume, if the input is not with sound card but with DSP plugin?

By the way, excuse my ignorance, but I still can't figure out what is the recommended input value using an adaptive preset!

where is brilliance in beta17? I can't find it under "highs" tab anymore.

post amplifier is just when you are comparing different presets against each other and wants everything to be on the same level for easier comparison.

The classical menu location is great, but I miss the volume control with quick adjustment, which I would like to see again with quick adjustment. And is it possible that the extreme tweaker can be in the menu again without the codes Ctrl Shift +
Do you mean pre and post amp? Pre amp should not be used anymore (if I had to redesign everything from scratch I wouldn't put that in). There are gain settings for the input sound card, and for AGC/multibands. And in all other processors they do the job. Pre amp basically just affects the first gain slider. (I guess there is something to say for making it available on a quick adjust page... I'll ask around a bit what others think, but generally I would argue that at least a preset shouldn't have it).
I meant the post amplifier Hans, I would like to see that reflected in the quick adjustment, And as for the extreme user function, it is not easier and faster to work than always using the annoying ctrl shift plus

Hi gjbbgu,
It looks like the brilliance setting has moved to under the AM signal settings screen, see screenshot below.

But this now only seems to effect the audio when AM is turned on.

I just use HD Output as do not have the FM licence in StereoTool, and
whereas the earlier version: BETA1042-008 seemed to have an effect on the audio
for HD Output, now it is under the AM signal settings it only seems to work when
the main AM signal setting button is turned on, and the brilliance button it on too.
But doing this, for me, makes my HD Output turn into AM audio which I dont want.

The text after the AM Brilliance states, (affects ALL outputs), but this does not seem
to do anything for the HD Output if I turn off the main AM signal setting button.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong?

Does anyone else know how to get the Brilliance to work with HD Output correctly?

Thanks in advance

You need to uncheck all the boxes in the AM section except for the Brilliance setting to get it without the lowpass mono AM sound.

Hi MrKlorox,

Thanks for the information, much appreciated.

Indeed, it works now after following you advice.

Thank you :)

Hi. So, all I have is anecdotal info, but I can throw Spotify on with Quiet normalization (-18 LUFS) and 6% windows mixer app volume (not in-app volume), and it brings up Adaptive Bass Monster's levels to a good consistent loudness. And as I quickly turn up the windows mixer app volume from 6 to 100%, the sound profile barely changes at all (it gets ever so slightly louder for a few seconds as it adjusts).

What I'm saying is (depending on the preset) it can adapt to just about any level you throw at it, but it of course behaves best on content already normalized so it doesn't have to change from song to song. Sorry I can't give a more objective loudness value.

well.. most of my preset uses -4dB pre-amp, because i want, among other things, to start with lower level in chain, even if input is 0dB. Also i want to see/hear what declipper DO, same, if input is clipped0.
Remember, you also have DSP where input will always be 0

When I turn on "AM Signal Settings" and "AM Brilliance" I lose the "Web/HD/DAB clipper drive" setting in "Advanced Clipper" and the "Oversampled limiting and clipping" option

Strange! As in they're missing, or they grey out, or what?

They're visible and functioning here with AM Signal Settings and only AM Brilliance enabled.

edit: Ah I see your edit now. Strange indeed.
edit2: Can you show your I/O page?
edit3: my Lowpass Filter Signal before multiband compressors is greyed out however.
