....some triggering is needed. In case of Standalone, as Bojcha suggested, changing Sampling rate or restarting Soundcard Confg does the trick. Now, for VST and DSP versions, changing latencies does the job. So now center frequencies have changed precisely as per the sts confg.
Oh, my God !
Normally I have not done any signal analyzing of the frequency spectrum while my experiments with different center frequencies in STS in the past.
So I have compared (and maybe you too ?) apples with oranges, because the different center frequencies from STS were not applied under normal circumstances (loading different STS containing different center frequencies) - only the GUI changed (
false positive) !
My seemingly crappy TranS-EnhanCe preset used modified center frequencies.
But normally (without randomly changed latency settings) only the GUI shows
the different frequencies, but actually they were not applied for the audio processing.
And to know that I used very extreme EQ boosts (...+ 19.93 dB...) with this preset in multiband now explains, why it sounds the way it sounds (I probably adjusted settings sometimes with correctly applied center frequencies and sometimes without correctly applied center frequencies).
I will rebuild it from scratch.
Please, Hans change the STS loading behaviour (so that this manually triggering to activate different center frequencies is not necessary) !
Maybe it is also possible to make this deactivation of MB bands in STS a little bit more elegant ?
Bojcha's STS modifications work somehow (in contrast to the mod settings Hans had described before), but the look of GUI for MB bands and the shown values for the two deactivated bands is very odd and irrating.
