I don't really understand what you're trying to say.

This is the intended behavior:
The INPUT sample rate MUST of course be set.
The OUTPUT sample rate is usually equal to the input sample rate. However, for FM output, the output samplerate is a multiple (x1, x2, x4, x8, ...) of the input sample rate, such that it is high enough to support stereo and RDS.

So it should be possible to use 48 kHz as input and you'll (automatically) get 192 kHz as output.

However, this does NOT work for ASIO, because for ASIO all sample rates must be identical. So if ASIO is used AND FM output is used, the input sample rate MUST be set to either 176.4 or 192.

That's exactly the point.

In standard configuration Vac1 (input) Vac2 FM Output, I set vac1 to be only 48kHz and vac2 to be only 192kHz, and what happen...
ST does not work ! Buffer non-stop overflows. But if i set VAC1 to be 192kHz only, then buffer is stable.

How fast does it overflow? There could be timing issues in VAC (I've seen something like that in different sound cards, with quite extreme differences in speed).

No, it's not VAC problem. But vac v4.09 and v.4.10 are different.
Here is test... i set Vac1 and Vac2 to support 44100-256000 and 8bit yo 32bit.

Started ST with vac1 input and vac2 FM out.
VAC1 Control panel says: vac1 is started at 192kHz 16 bit and vac2 is started as 192kHz 32bit


Same Sattings for VACs with BBP: (where i selected 48kHz for input and 192kHz for FM Out)

I could not get your newest preset to work at 44.1/48kHz either until I raised the input buffer size. Then it ran fine on my system.

@Bojcha: But what happens if you set the input sample rate to 48 kHz in Stereo Tool as well? Then you should get the behavior that you want.

By the way, have you posted the latest version of the Addiction preset in the forum?

That's true, but underflows at output, input is still 16bit and output 32bit, is that ok? I mean, output can be 16bit too, is that wasting cpu?

Actually it would be better if both are 32 bits... No effect on CPU load, but 32 bits sound better. (ASIO is 32 bits, VST is too, DSP supports it if Winamp (or another application) sends it - that leaves non-ASIO input/output for the stand alone version).

Now building an update with your latest Addiction preset.

I just Adjust both vac1 and vac2 to be 32bit-fixed. And no Underflows and Owerflows.
For input is 48kHz selected (vac1) but, Vac Control Panel reads 192kHz, actually no metter what input is selected, it's always 192kHz.

You may already know this, but Winamp currently only supports a maximum of 24-bit playback. 32-bit playback is on the wishlist.
