I'm getting a lot of artifacts when playing audio from the NLE, Sony Vegas 10.
Only at the settings 4096 though, at 2048 there is no problem at all. This only started with the new betas, 008 and on.
Right now my computer is being taxed a lot since I have sony vegas with over 10Gb of HD footage on the track and Adobe Lightroom open. Even so my idle cpu usage is around 25% (this is normal since I have folding@home running in the background, but its an idle process). The cpu usage barely goes above 35% when editing yet the audio stutters a lot and there are a lot of pops and clicks. Never had this issue before.
Question - is Stereo tool a mutli threaded application? Would changing the CPU affinity of the program through task manager affect it, I was thinking I'd force it to only run on the 3rd and 4th cores since sony vegas only uses cores 1 and 2 by default. (its only able to use more threads when rendering.)

FIXED
I had the BA live input settings too HQ. The input was set at 192 samples (the highest one) not 44.1khz.
Changed it back and put the buffers to default values, running smoothly now
