Tested beta 006, i get overshoots (red lines) with Hard limit on at all latencies. Post Amp at 1.00 with standalone version.

Something appears to be still wrong in the processing, that is, I see some high frequency content if I set the latency to 4096. No overshoots here - but something is still wrong, so I'll have to fix that first.

I'm starting to think that my current upsampling method might be too simple (also based on what I've seen while I'm working on the downsampling).

Both upsampling and downsampling appear to be more complex than I initially expected, if I don't want extra latency. (But still possible).

EDIT: eldoradofm: After thinking a bit more, I think spikes should not be possible with my current implementation (and I don't see any here). Could you tell me which settings you are using? (It might also be stand alone version related - that's always a bit difficult to check for me due to some sound card driver issues; will check it tomorrow).

Red bars at output sometimes here too! (standalone - 4096).. i don't know about sound, must check

At 4096 something is wrong - I don't know what, but I see high frequency audio that shouldn't be there (which could of course cause small spikes).

That should _not_ be the case (at least, I don't see it) at lower latencies.

(Well actually it also shouldn't be the case at 4096 either. I'll have to check what's going on).

EDIT: Checked the code, I think I found something (Hard Limit seems to be ignored for a part of the audio). Will continue tomorrow.

lol .. maybe this helps,
if i set 192kHz output in standalone, normal output, red bars are more occure, at 44,1kHz don't see any.
But when i back to 44.1, there is some strange stuttering, then ANY mode stutters, and i need to restart Stereo Tool or to change to 2048 or any other mode.

That makes sense: At 44.1 input nothing has changed.

Apparently something goes wrong when switching between sampling rates though...

:( I am finding that as well as the stuttering audio sometimes the audio stream seems to lose sync, that is the audio playing speed will speed up then return to normal. This is with the standalone version, latest beta, 4096 latency, any input sample rate from 44.1kHz to 192 kHz although 192 kHz seems better.

@john2 try 2048 instead !

I think I have fixed the issue of BETA005/006. At least the output looks completely clean now, and switching between sample rates also works fine.

Also, downsampling at the start (for higher input sampling rates) now costs no extra latency anymore (was 1024 samples in 4096 mode, 256 samples in all other modes).

Building now.

BETA601-007:
- Fix for the issues in BETA601-005/006.
- Downsampling at start now takes no latency anymore.

Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 01-007.exe
Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 01-007.exe
VST version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 01-007.dll
VST version (No SSE2): http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 01-007.dll
Command line version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 01-007.exe
Linux command line version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... ETA601-007 [not available]
Linux GUI version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... ETA601-007 [not available]

Good news: I think I found a way to perform 'phase rotation' BEFORE any other processing steps with a latency of only about 10-20 samples (0.2-0.4 ms). Will test that asap.
