phoenix => your stream doesn't run
Meow! (read hello) Garfield,
Sorry about that. Could not afford to keep my PC running while I was at work (especially when my sister is lurking around). Would begin streaming again at 8:30 PM [UTC] on the same link(if the hosting provider doesnot change the address each time I login).

BTW, nice avatar. Goes very well with your forum name.

Running 16 bit audio vs 24 bit audio through the Stereo Tool winamp DSP, is this still an issue or is this something I should care about?
I'm using ST for everyday listening and leveling mix sets for sharing.

Also what does the extra 8 bits add? I'm used to working with images, so the extra 8 bits is transparency or extra color space. In audio what else do you get out of the extra 8 bits?

Gtxx: Don't compare it with images like this! Rather compare it with for example 1 bit images (only completely black or completely white), vs. 8 bits per color (much better), vs 12 bits per color (smoother, but you need a good monitor to see the differences).

Similarly, 1 bit audio would mean only +32767 or -32768 (so no values in between), 16 bits ranges from -32768..+32767. 24 bits means that there are values in between - this reduces the noise level a lot further (16 bits = CD quality, 24 bits is 256 more precise...)

Hard track to find!

Apparently there are more versions around - is it supposed to start with guitar bass sounds with a lot of people talking through it?
Yes and no, but you are very close.
It is the last song of the album  it is the original album version !
Running time 10:47 on the album.
00:00 - 04:37 (approx.) is "Paper Thin" (the song with that deep solo bass intro)
04:38 - 04:49 silence
04:50 - 10:47 is a hidden track called "New York Baby (acoustic)".
So when you hear people talking it is the intro of the hidden track.
It is possible that someone has cut this 10:47 in peaces and used the wrong name (the cut of "New York Baby (acoustic)" named as "Paper Thin").
Today (in the age of growing professional incompetence) it is even possible that wrong track names are used on later compilations, especially if there are long original tracks with a sub-song/hidden track structure.

Hm, I found it as a 'preview' on a site where you can buy tracks. Total length is indeed reported as 10:45 so I guess they did indeed base the preview on the hidden track :(

I naver been interest in nothing then max quality, but i checked 512 mode.

Much better then 5.02 version, but ofcourse there is stll big difference between 512 and 4096 and mostly in low end where instability occures.

here's one, Ludacris Ft. Nicki Minaj- My Chick Bad

edit: Multiband is actually make big difference 512vs4096 mode. Very bad in 512mode.

As in 'artifacts' or as in 'audio comes out differently'? To reduce the artifacts I have locked the lowest few bands together in low latency modes. (But that's not possible for clipping - which still causes artifacts)

Audio is different. That is explained by fact that you locked first 2 or 3 bands.
But there is artifacts too. It's very instable. Play sine tone at 40Hz and watch scope.

With 6.00 and 512 for latency there is a complete loss of the lower frequencies for me. My sub's barely make a noise in 512 mode.
There is some loss in fidelity with the high frequencies.
There is also a loss of about 1 Db in the over output volume. <- cause off less bass?

Why am I using this mode its pointless, to me. :(
Hmm starting to wonder when 6.0.1 is going to be released lol
