I can see status, but very heavy opened, stream can't make through.
Try again to play the .m3u file from a player. I see you connected perhaps for a short period of time. Donot use the embedded player.

Someone posted a track here a while ago that was supposed to sound really bad in low latency mode. I wanted to look into it, but I cannot find that posting anywhere anymore... So I hope you're reading this :-)

I've been comparing 512 against 4096, and 4096 seems to sound fuller - so far that seems to be caused mainly by Stereo Boost which doesn't work properly in latency 512 mode. The good news is that so far I've heard no extra distortion in 512 mode, and almost no bass artifacts when using some of the presets (if you just play a loud tone and enable one filter, it can sound horrible, but if everything is combined it seems to be much better).

(This is only true when 'Bandpass filter' is set to 'Automatic selection' or 'Never phase linear').

Finally! So this server is ok to stream with I guess. Gonna get ready for work. Would continue with the rest of the experimentation later tonight. Thanks for the confirmation Bojcha.

Ok, but all based on maximum quality ?
My impression:
Using 4096 and different quality settings it is often difficult to hear a difference.
But with 512 the sound quality differences using different ST quality settings is enormous (with some music more and some less - it really depends if there are nearly isolated deep bass parts/solos).
(I am using ST DSP version !).

That makes sense - 512 with quality at 50% should have almost as much artifacts as 256 at 100% - so especially at lower latency settings Quality should really be kept at the maximum.

@Bojcha: Before version 6.00 latency 512 just sounded really bad due to horrible artifacts in Final Limiter and Loudness - and before 5.00 it was even worse because there was only the phase linear highpass filter. I thought there wasn't much I could do about it. But now the new bass filtering thing in Loudness - and the bass artifact protection that I added - has improved the low latency sound really a lot. So much that it might even be interesting to attempt what a 256 sample latency would do.

But, someone posted a track here that supposedly sounds really bad - and I want to check what's going on, which filter causes it.

Or was it something (somebody) else ?

Anyway this song is from Leona Naess' debut "Comatised" (2000).
One of my alltime favourite private top ten albums.
So if you get the chance (have a little time) listen to it !

Hard track to find!

Apparently there are more versions around - is it supposed to start with guitar bass sounds with a lot of people talking through it?
