Stereo Tool 10.71 is released!
Changes:
- Enterprise: Overview screen now allows you to see and load presets.
- Fake Stereo: Added more precision to setting, and shrunk scale to a more reasonable range.
- Increased internal buffers to prevent "An audio glitch occurred" message.
- STudio and PiMP sometimes used wrong sound card after restart; now hard coded to use a HifiBerry card.
- Streaming: Metadata is logged to console window. Open it if you have issues with artist/title/song info on streams.
- Added 7.1.4 audio (12 channels) support in all 64 bit plugins.
- libStereoTool: stereoTool_Create3 can now also overrule target .ini/.rc path and file name, and whether to load it on start.
- Bug fix: Windows: Files with uncommon characters failed to open since 10.60. Presets and settings files for Windows user names with such characters.
- Bug fix: Absolute Highs: With certain combinations of settings could cause crashes. But has been there forever, apparently nobody ever noticed it.
- Bug fix: HD de-emphasis object could potentially cause audio artifacts in multi-threaded mode. (this has never been reported).
- Bug fix: RDS fields could act strange if the first character was a / or multiple /'s used in sequence.
- Bug fix: STXtreme: Network settings page on front panel could be unreachable if a static IP was configured in 10.70. Reason unknown.
- Bug fix: Linux versions: Ignore sound card startup detection order if there's no exact match. Mismatch could cause a sound card was not found error.
- Bug fix: An audio device could be reused before it was released, causing it to be never released anymore.
- GUI: BS412 box is zoomable, 1 minute to 24 hours.
- GUI: All widgets in overview screen now have the same width.
- GUI: Meter bar elements that did not link to a different page no longer look highlighted on mouse over.
- GUI: Clicking on scope doesn't navigate to I/O anymore.
- GUI: Current preset text is now fully shown if there is enough space.
- GUI: Sound card errors displayed in buffer bars no longer rearrange settings blocks.
- GUI: Bug fix: Control+F didn't work to open search bar in preset page.
- GUI: Bug fix: Error/warning pulldown was not scrollable.
- GUI: Bug fix: Clicking a dropped dropdown wouldn't close it.
- GUI: Bug fix: Some label texts weren't filled when shown the first time.
- JSON interface: Added JSON command to load presets.
- JSON interface: Added "type" field to JSON responses.
- Bug fix: JSON interface: Fixed JSON error list (all error strings were empty in the last few MicroMPX releases).
- SD card image: All software now asks user if the update went fine. Answer "no" on any serious issues.
- SD card image: Made most manual setup steps automatic.
- SD card image: Lots of improvements, a.o. it now uses port 80 instead of 8080 for the web server.
- Initial StereoToolBox firmware version.
- MicroMPX encoder: Added Multicast TTL setting.
- MicroMPX decoder: Added RIST forced restart after no packets for long period of time.
- MicroMPX decoder: Clarified RIST incoming packet delay with GPS sync (caused underruns with RIST delay close to or above main delay).
- MicroMPX decoder: Added GPS using internal clock instead of NMEA (still with external 1PPS signals) mode to Linux builds (experimental).
- MicroMPX: Added license features displays for SFN and MicroMPX+.
- Big code cleanup: External libraries updated. OpenSSL replaced by LibreSSL (may affect streaming to HTTPS servers).
- Multiband compressors: "Soft linking" in 1 direction - soft linking had too much effect on bass. You can now enable it only for the highs.
- Windows versions: Optimizations for older Intel CPU's don't appear to have worked properly. Performance might be better now.
- Updated presets.
