Not sure if this is the best place to report bugs in the MicroMPX Decoder - if not, I'd be grateful if someone could let me know.

Using the ARM64 MicroMPX Decoder version 4.2.8, there's a problem with its HTTP / JSON interface. When retrieving the current list of errors (ID 11086), it doesn't actually provide them (and in fact returns malformed JSON). I note that this problem seems to correspond to error list UI changes in the main HTTP interface.

ID 11086 works fine on version 4.2.6, and I've not checked 4.2.7. Not providing detailed steps to reproduce because the problem occurs every time and is obvious to see, but I'd be happy to do so on request.

It'd be good if this could be sorted out ASAP, because it's an important part of our monitoring the health of the decoder. In the meantime, we've reverted to 4.2.6.

Cheers

Still a problem with version 4.3.1, unfortunately.

It doesn't return malformed JSON any more, but the value of 'text' for each log entry is always empty.

Hans just made some JSON response changes in the latest beta.
Quote:
Added "type" field to JSON responses.
This will likely be fixed with the release of uMPX 5

Hope so! Just need a documented and reliable way to check the health of the decoder, really.

is it possible for you guys to try out the latest beta for this feature, without having to go off air? Just to make sure it is indeed returning what you need. If it doesn't, I'll let Hans know it's still not working correctly.

Good thinking! Did a quick switch-over to the version of the decoder downloadable with 10.71 beta 2, and there's no change - the value of 'text' is always empty.

That'd be great if you could - thanks!

Solved. Next beta build (10.71-BETA004) should be ok again.
Code:
{ "11086": { "enabled": "1", "active": "1", "0": { "count": 1, "text": "You do not have a license for MicroMPX decoder!", "timestamp": "2025/08/19 13:27:41" },
"1": { "count": 1, "text": "Failed to open backup file: Libsndfile not available", "timestamp": "2025/08/19 13:27:43" }, "2": { "count": 1, "text": "Receiving no MicroMPX
packets since 16s", "timestamp": "2025/08/19 13:27:57" }, "3": { "count": 1, "text": "Backup player start requested, but cannot start because player encountered an
 error before (see log)", "timestamp": "2025/08/19 13:27:48" }} }
(I've added a few enters to make it fit on the screen)
