If I want to monitor the status of the stream in the uMPX Decoder, what is the minimum time between http requests can I have? Trying to get it down to the lowest, as to give next to live monitoring.

Any insight would be helpful.

http streaming would most likely be using icecast, which at best can have down to 5 s of latency, but you can't really tune it, so you may as well get much more, up to 30 s.

What you could do is setup an srt stream using gstreamer. That can easily go as low as 1 s latency.
