"...The new compressor design is progressing,..."

Do you mean new compressor architecture? Or do you mean new adjustment controls in the existing two styles (analog and digital), in addition to the GUI changes?

Is there a complete new compressor design being introduced in a minor patch-version (10.01 to 10.02)? This almost feels like a 10.1 version would be more appropriate.

The beta patch numbers don't always directly correspond to the release version numbers. The proper version 10 update hasn't hit outside of this thread for ST yet (the current release version is 9.92). If I were a betting man, I would bet the new 10 UI will reach the point of release first, considering how far along it was by the time the compressor/agc redesign was started. But I agree, in the long run, both are major updates.

I'm just curious if the Advanced Dynamics package will be required. If the purpose is to simplify the compressor/agc, I would have to assume most of it would make it into the basic or free licenses. At least with a non-multiband agc. Regardless, I'm hype af to play with them, and can't wait to see how the multiband mode works.

Hi,

I don't expect the new compressor to be ready by the time we can release 10.02. The new compressor looks like it's going to be a massive improvement on the existing compressors, so it will be part of Advanced Dynamics.

The plan is to make it really much better than anything else, but we're running into some difficult issues that need to be solved before I can post anything here. Right now it does most of what I want it to do, but certain tracks come out 3 dB quieter than others and that's really bad. So, working on that.

Out of curiosity, and tell me if this is a stupid question, but will the compressors work on peak, RMS, or LUFS-M? Or all of the above?

I have so many other questions like that as well, but I don't know if I should ask them!

The save/load preset file buttons are not there in the web interface on Linux. The preset selector is there but you can't save current/import new ones.
The Linux web interface version also doesn't have options to set the web interface options. So if I wanna edit the whitelist I edit the config file.

A question-
In the current version are all the analog or digital compressors in multiband 1 and multiband 2 identical? In other words, is the same compressor section design used in each band? Thank you.
