And what about 500 is still 350 ?
Don't know. If you don't move the frequencies surrounding it there will indeed be little difference.
Every next frequency must be higher than the previous, and they must be far enough apart.
A band starts at the frequency below it, and runs to the frequency above it. With maximum effect around the center frequency.
And the first band always starts at 0, and the last always ends at the highest available frequency.
I tested it here and it seems to work fine.
Version with old-style Punch (lowered when needed because the bass level is lowered) is on its way, if needed I could also build an in-between version (I'll wait for the response on the new version first).
Basically, what I did was: IF the bass is lowered (by the "Dirty bass" filter), Punch is set less strong.
Because the Punch strength reduction was needed to avoid distortion, I saw that with this change I could INCREASE the 'base' sensitivity. And apparently that wasn't a good idea. (Well, that, or the less strong Punch is sounding weird, but that should only get closer to the "Clean" setting so that's probably not it).
I'm now building a version with the same 'base' sensitivity, the in-between version would use the minimum of the current 'base' sensitivity and the calculated ('dirty bass') sensitivity.
