@ DJ Doggy: The Stereo Tool spectral graph shows the same thing as MPXviewer, both go down to -90 dB. So if you see these things in Stereo Tool's display as well, they are there... Otherwise I'm not sure. (They were there in most of the older BETA's though!).
If they are there, are you using the 'Composite Limiter', and if so, is it set very aggressively? I think you shouldn't set it much higher than around 105%.
Reasons why this can happen when sending data to MPXviewer:
- The audio is coming out too loud (this can happen for example if you are using FM Calibration; lower the output level in that case!). This could very well be the case, given the fact that I also see something like a 'constant' noise level (darker green) where there should be silence.
- The sample rate is incorrect. Say you're outputting 176.4 kHz and MPXviewer (and VAC) work on 192 kHz, then it depends on some Windows audio handling how the data is converted - and my experience is that this is not very good (if I play a single high frequency sine wave I see about 5 when I read the data back via VAC!)
About the sound card output level: 1.000 is NOT necessarily correct! You should check with your transmitter which setting you need! (For mine I need to set it around 0.300).
By the way, given the fact that the 'noise' is below -60 dB (normally far below the noise level when you receive a station) and for frequencies that are difficult to hear anyway, it SHOULD not be that much of a problem. But they shouldn't be there (and on my end they are not there).
I found the problem.... Try with Standalone version and found that input sample rate is 44100 .
when i put it to 192000 then this problem is missing . BUT.......
The player with DSP plugin how to work with input SR 192000 when the song sample rate is 44100 or 48000 ..for MP3 let`s say. When song is recorded with 44.100 How WINAMP plays it to 192 KHz ? I mean that in DSP version or VST there is no input Sample Rate setting, input sample rate is song`s sample rate....
So input sample rate should not affect the output sample rate ! Output sample rate is formed in the ST .... if not - then this is a sample rate BUG
If you don`t trust me try Winamp with DSP StereoTool , VAC at 192000 ST output , then this VAC is Input to MPXTool and in MPXTool output to Soundcard. Play some MP3 and see.... what MPXTool is graphing.
Then go back to the Standalone version and try the absolutely SAME scheme ( Use second VAC to set output for winamp this can be 44100 no problem , then input it to ST Play again the same MP3 and simply set the input sample rate in StereoTool to 192000 and that`s it the problem is GONE

put it back to 44100 and here we go again

But REMEMBER to USE maximum levels from ST everywhere set to x1.00 (post amp and "FM Transmitter" panel too. Otherwise this probLem is down there and MPXtool is not able to see it.
