Q.
"Allow Louder Lows" in Loudness .. what freqs. controls ?
Band contains all audio upto 100 Hz, dropping to nothing above 200 Hz.
Well for FM all freqs from 0-to almost 500Hz should be strictly "Clipped/Limited" to some lower value (e.g. 90-95%), to leave room for rest of sound. Orabn, ... ,does that too.
If you watch their MPX on scope .. you can see Half tones strictly limited to ~90% and second half to 100%.

I managed somehow to get same with ST. But that's not it.

Result is interesting .. no more voice vibrations and nice room for highs...

Solutons...

- Somehow to implemet Bass Clipper to loudness "allow louder lows" settings.

Bojcha nice preset by the way, but i work on Lukes for my radio. Check it out. The only problem is that i have disortion sometimes on S sound... and i am trying to solve it.
Is that bass distortion (ie. "S" with bass present causes the "S" to vibrate), or do you hear frequencies that shouldn't be there?
I use the Lucas 80's Preset as i mentioned. And the sound is VERY good, with all freqs present. The only problem is that, some tracks with more 16KHz sound makes the S sound disortion. I solve this one from eq at -0,70 16Khz. With the beta 23 version, i think we can adjust on Boost Highs on Loud.

Check the file :)

Currently I clip the freqs below 100-200 Hz to 73%. Are you sure that I could limit it to 90% if I go upto 500 Hz, or would that be an extra step?

Loudness do not clip well!
Play any sound with 0-200Hz (Lowpass).. it will see that loudness will leak some spikes easily to 100%!
Much better job is done with with Bass Clipper, but as i said that's not complete solution.
.. i Hope you check my preset.

Strictly! 8-)

Loudness do not clip well!
Hm yeah, that's related to the clean/punch slider! At Punch it boosts sounds that were lowered too much. But even at Clean it does that - only less...

Edit: Try this: Clean/Punch at Clean, "Allow louder highs" at around 5500.

Loudness: Added an extra (previously missing, apparently forgotten) filtering step that should slightly improve the sound quality of loud mids and highs (filters out bass rumbling distortion below 100 Hz caused by asymmetric highs):

Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 510-24.exe
Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 510-24.exe
VST version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 510-24.dll
VST version (No SSE2): http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 510-24.dll
Command line version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 510-24.exe
Linux command line version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... BETA510-24 (Build error - server was offline)

Too much Highs!
If loud output is not primary for you i just recommend you "FM Europe soft" preset with loudness settings around 1.50-2.00x

<note to self: Try non-clipped side: replace sqrt(r[x]^2+i[x]^2) by max(x-1, x, x+1).>
Edit: No, caused distortion :-( So I'll leave it as it is now.
