Crash seems to be in the Trumpet filter (part of Loudness).

Edit: Found it! I forgot a multiplication by 2 somewhere...

Fix will be available later tonight.

Build is running now.

Changes:
- Probably fixed the crashing problem (fixed a bug that caused the memory to get corrupted, which can probably cause crashes. Debugger doesn't detect anything else.)
- Fixed a very minor bug that caused the volume to move slightly up and down all the time in Overlap=0 mode (about 60 dB below the actual audio level, so not noticeable).

I've started implementing quality control (TODO list item "Make CPU load configurable in Overlap=0 mode"). But since it's not yet finished and doesn't work for all filters it's not yet usable.

Eventually this quality slider will correspond to the old low/mid/high quality modes (except that it can now be controlled much more precisely). At the center setting, which would correspond to the old 'normal quality' mode, the CPU load should be roughly 2/3rds of the CPU load at full quality. The audio quality corresponds to what you get when you lower the latency by one step.

For Noise Gate, Stereo, Multiband, Bandpass, Limiting, Loudness and Pre-emphasis, the quality can be lowered (new slider right of the 'overlap' slider).
For AGC, Singleband and Hard Limit this doesn't work yet. So at the moment it's probably completely useless, but I expect to get those 3 remaining filters working soon.

Update available (BETA3A).

Tomorrow I'll try to fix the CPU load control for the 3 remaining filters.

Something is not good.

On my pc all is ok with Standalone version (fm an normal out using VACs).
But at pc for transmitter where i use Juli@ .. it's like defected CD Player. every ~3-5 sec audio jumps
Buffer is gone in some moments and this happens..
CPU load is about 37%. I put back version from 03.march, and all is ok again, and cpu load as around 32%

OOPS! Logging is enabled in this version - so Stereo Tool is constantly writing stuff to disk!

OOPS #2! Stereo Tool is ALSO writing intermediate audio results to disk!

Please delete this version, and remove the following 2 files (to free the hard disk space):
- C:\log
- C:\wav.wav

I'll post an update ASAP (building now) - sorry!

hi hans,

I have a small request. Would it be a lot of work to add a slider to modify the split frequency (now fixed at 200 Hz?) of the two AGC bands? I find 200 Hz a bit low, and would like to experiment with it. If it's not easy configurable, then nevermind :)

That would not be difficult. I should tell you though that it's not really a split - the first band is the full signal, the 2nd band is similar except that the freqs below 200 Hz have been filtered out. And I'm then assuming that the 2nd band is about 30% softer than the first.

If you increase the "split" frequency, the 30% softer will become a higher number, which mean that you'll get bigger volume effects (differences) if there are a lot of lows. That's why I tried to set the "split" frequency as low as possible, 200 seems to just suffice to get rid of high frequency volume drops when loud lows are present.
