I'm now building an update with 2 changes to Overlap=0 mode:
- Stereo Boost is working now
- I found a really bad bug in the Loudness filter, due to which sounds were shattered in time again (similar to the old multiband clipping problem) in Overlap=0 mode - the filter that was supposed to fix that was only working at half-power. I don't know since which version that was the case - but it's fixed now.

Should be online in about an hour.

I've just uploaded another small update: Hard Limit is working better (but still not good enough) now. It now leaves peaks upto +1% (was: +60%).

Still same problem like was in multiband clipping, caused by Loudness.

here is again original 10 sec and thru stereotool

edit: i just found that this it's caused by "Improved Loudness distortion protection" ! Much less when off!

I hear what you mean. And it's much better (nearly gone) with Block Overlap > 0. Will look into it!

Edit: It sounds a bit like there's a harmonic of the bass tone (like distortion if the bass part of the speaker is set too loud). That's what you mean, right? There's no sound before the bass kicks in (which was the problem with multiband clipping)...

Exactly !! strange sound like "thong swing" ~30ms long before bass kicks in.

What happen with Stereo Boost meter .. now measures less stereo boosting, sound seems ok.

Ehm... Do you still hear it with Overlap>0? I do hear something annoying in the bass when Overlap=0, which disappears for Overlap>0, but not what you're describing - maybe I'm hearing something else than what you are hearing??

ah i forgot .. yes it's much less with overlap>0!

Hard limit: i tested v4.22 and beta3a ..
If i put PostAmp to x0.97 on v4.22 no single peek over that value...
in beta3a .. there is clearly peeks over x0.97. Is that 1% reamain ?

With BlockOverlap >0 is good !

edit: With BlockOverlap >0 there is small peeks but much less then with BlockOverlap =0

How did you measure those peaks at Block Overlap > 0? If I set the Post Amp to 0.99, I never see it peak to the last 2 pixels - the output looks completely constant. Unless I use FM output and use FM Overdrive - in that case the Hard Limit filter is turned off completely! (And I just checked v4.22, and there something is still being done to limit the signal. Will fix it! But is that what you mean?)

Edit: Solved now for Overlap>0, but still VERY bad for Overlap=0 (I thought it was fixed but apparently not)
Edit #2: Now also solved for Overlap=0. Will post if after I've looked into the bass kick issue.
