I'm not sure if this is the same bug, but there is a bug that can cause a crash on startup in 7.72. I will build a new version (7.73) asap.

:(

On my Mac VMware image it runs... One of my employees has a Mac, I'll ask him to try it tomorrow. I know that the 7.72 VST plugin works on his system, but I'm not sure anymore if we tested the stand alone version as well.

Just asking first: Which Jack did you install?

Can you check if you get a different message if you run it from the command line?

On his Mac it works without issues. Can you tell me which Jack you installed? There are apparently 2, if you get the wrong one it can crash (I know that running it from the command line will show a Jack-related error).

Hans,

The version of Jack is JackPilot OS X 0.90 (http://www.jackosx.com)

ST v7.70 works fine on Mac OS X Yosemite but when I try to upgrade to v7.72 or v7.73, ST crashes !

I have tried on 3 Macs, all with MAC OS X Yosemite and ST crashes each time but v7.72 is stable on same set-up.

Many thanks for troubleshooting this :)

The versions of ST I have tested are all standalone versions.

Got it sorted by removing all older versions of ST before installing/upgrading to ST v7.73 !
