Check post by the old limiter issue, it became clear that was not changed location and reduces the attack time of the compressor to shocks to the limiter soak these peaks and does not affect the compressor.
The question is, this is done with a fixed function or dynamic? could be adjusted from the panel by a factor to take some conrol this?
Sorry to have brought this issue again, but it happened to me.

In the latest build (Winamp DSP) the audio is fluttering at left and right when you enable the Pre-Limiter and using 1024 bands.

Hello,
The behaviour now is exactly right. The limiter´s control value is created by the level after the compressors but the gain reduction of the limiters does occur before the compressors.
This change does increase the sound consistency of the multiband process itself, cause if the energy in one of the bands does increase quickly, the limiter does most of the work that otherwise the compressor has to do. Let´s take "S" in speech. If the limiter is located after the compressor, the limiter will reduce the level but also the compressor band will reduce the gain rapidly. After the "S" sybillance it takes as long as the compressor´s recovery time to pump up the gain again.
Therefore you can say, if the limiter´s gain reduction occurs before the compressor, it slows down the compressor´s attack time. Not really, but in practice, cause the gain the compressor has to reduce is way less than if the limiters are after the compressors.
And therefore it is not possible and not necessary to add any further adjustments.
The only thing you have to do is to bring the MB compressors and limiters in balance via adjusting ist thresholds and the compressor´s time constants.
If you have fully understood the behavior and how this is working you will see that you are able to create a more open and consistent Sound.
Regards,
Robert

Thanks Robert for such a clear explanation, it is now a matter of testing this functionality and test values.
Last night I made some adjustments and consistency really noticeable, but so it is possible that if the values are not adequate, especially in the bass is very noticeable.
Knowing how it works, I can verify the functionality Mejer, maybe happy is not the summary of the functionality you could Hans and leads to confusion.
What about the previous Preset's to this functionality? will no longer be supported, if this functionality can not be enabled / disabled.

Yes but that's of course intentional... You can test the error (restart) behavior that way.
