Stereo Tool

Didn't have any problems before with 7.41. Also today it ran perfectly
Did a virus scan but no results though..

So this suddenly happened after a Windows reboot? And 7.41 ran ok before? Then for now I'm going to assume that this wasn't a ST 7.41 issue...

It happened just after starting windows (no reboot) problem 1 occured. than problem 2.
Then I decided to reboot the computer and I had problem 2 again.
Reinstalled everything (because I'm impatient) and it's working fine again.

So still not sure if it was my system or ST, but because it was the first time that St froze I thought let's mention it here

I think this is not ST issue in this case

I think this occurs only while processing. the last time i changed something on the user interface i think and then the whole program crashes. i didn't remember what i did exactly, because it occurs very fast.

Here are some error details. The error occurs two times.

Here i am again.

Under "About" it says that i have Version 7.40 (December 2013).

Just started ST and no problems at all.

So this version is older then the latest version?

Edit: Installed 7.41 and the first change i see is that my Non-ASIO output has an all blue bar.
With version 7.40 this bar was constantly moving.
I am running 7.41 now with Non-ASIO and ASIO Outputs at the same time.
Non-ASIO buffer = 0.070
ASIO buffer = 0.050
Soundcard = ESI Juli@

No problems at all and the CPU runs between 16 - 22 %, but mostly 16%.

Anyway, if I ever have an BSOD again, i'll post it here.

There was a bug in some of the beta versions that could cause crashes. Should still never cause a BSOD though. I'll await your results...

Hello All,

I had also the problem stereotool crashed all the time. What I did is remove all the register (regedit) edits and then installed stereotool again.
This solved my problem.

Maybe it could help you?

Which regedit settings? Stereo Tool should only put the install directory there for the uninstaller, nothing else!
And with which version was this?

I use standalone version 7.41 (64 bit Windows), only with ASIO FM MPX out and see no problems. I guess you don't use the standalone version? I think Hans will be happy when you have problems to be more specified which version you talk about (Standalone, Winamp, VST). When I see these problems, I can imagine that some people could be afraid to install Stereo Tool at all. Lucky I am not afraid for beta testing and always be prepared to go back to the version I successfully used before
