No you can just type in a stream URL and it will play it if you select VLC as input sound card. Example URL that works:
http://netradio.radioabc.dk/

Select "VLC" as sound card, and type in this URL, and it should start playing.

It's a great inclusion!. We do the following to be added. :)
1-Support streaming opus, runs but sounds "slow", and hangs StereoTool minute. (opus codec is the best I've had)
2-Add a list of reproduction for emergency in case you fall connecion be the internet.
3-Selected Kbps streaming, depending on the speed of internet (doing a bandwidth test internally, eg every 5 minutes), Example:

At a time when bandwidth is 2 Mb:
Play 192 Kbps Streaming.

Then the bandwidth decays to 256 Kb:
playing a streaming 64 Kb

With this you can greatly reduce the cuts in the audio.
on several occasions my current reproduction program remained in continuous shekel "one second of music and audio cut" by a problem in the bandwidth from my ISP. this is disastrous for the audience and this would be a way to fix it

I'll look at streaming later (as Bojcha already pointed out to me, you cannot configure everything in VLC as you can in other programs). For now it's just receiving streams.

The next version will correctly detect sample rate and number of channels, and find VLC if it's installed on your pc. I'm still having an issue with AAC files, and I still need to add 'FM Transmitter Synchronization' (from the plugin version) so it will work in the stand alone version as well.

I understand that it is still a very "premature" version.

I think were an error in translation, (I do not speak English).

In all cases the name "Streaming", I meant streaming playback.

Here is an example of a link opus reproduction:
http://fmradiomusic.com.ar/Varios/NoIP/ ... p?url=8001 (64 Kbps)
http://fmradiomusic.com.ar/Varios/NoIP/ ... p?url=8003 (192 Kbps)

I'd love to be able to use this format to make links with stereotool clearly the sound is far best to ogg / aac.

You can use the beta of RadioBOSS 5.0 to hear the sound (not many programs currently streaming opus)

I found a small bug in the DSP version "Synchronize FM transmitter":
When enabled, Send to Winamp (Input without processing) does not work.
This is important because the program where I use the ST dsp, I have a silence detector when you change the stream active playback.

Stupid question, but what long-forgotten DOS syntax am I missing? (Windows XP)

Try #1
C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC>c:\program files\stereo tool\stereotool.exe
'c:\program' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Try #2
C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC>c:\program%20files\stereo%20tool\stereotool.exe
The system cannot find the path specified.

VLC and ST standalone are installed and confirmed working when I start each of them in their own directory.

Thanks in advance.

I guess you must put "......................" (quotes) on the two sides of the path to stereo tool

Or, easiest, copy stereotool.exe to vlc directory and start it.
