I have just released Stereo Tool version 7.30! Changes:
# Added Mac OS X versions: Command line, stand alone (with JackOSX for now), VST
# Added Natural Dynamics filter that increases dynamics of music with little dynamics.
# Compressors (MB, SB): Improved limiter attack behavior. Much tighter and far less audible than before.
# Compressors (MB, SB): Removed lookahead for limiter; smoothing in backward direction to avoid distortion.
# Compressors (MB, SB): Added Attack and Release Flatness sliders. This non-default (not in standard compressors) behavior can give a much tighter sound with more dynamics, especially if combined with:
# Compressors (MB, SB): Added Release Inertia. Don't slow down moving towards target level when getting close.
# Compressors (MB, SB): Added "Traditional Peak" detection mode; uses less CPU but also sounds less good.
# Multiband compressor: Improved limiter flat frequency response behavior: Much more-line with compression.
# Multiband compressor: Improved Flat Frequency Response behavior, sweep is much flatter than before.
# Added option to perform phase rotation at the beginning of the processing chain.
# Changed AZIMUTH correction filter default settings.
# Linux: Improved GUI update speed.
# GUI: FM: Pre-emphasize output was confusing, now auto-enabled when RDS or stereo coding is used.
# GUI: Limiting now displayed in dB's just like the rest of the data.
# GUI: All ASIO settings are now available on a single page.
# Bug fix: Multiband default frequencies (used for resetting) were incorrect after restart.
# Bug fix: Removed printing from Jack thread in Linux, should allow lower latency.
# Bug fix: Fixed low latency ASIO bug introduced in version 7.24.
# Removed old Natural Dynamics implementation (saves 8MB of memory).
# Added and updated presets.

I have a question about Bojcha's King's Fire FM preset...

This must be pretty obvious for the most of you but in order to use it for non-FM purposes, should we just turn off the FM Transmitter? Or should we change some other settings too?

Yes, but, You also might want less loudness (advanced clipper), LPF and HPF settings / phase/non-phase linear.. etc..

That's the reason why I didn't simply copy it. But I think it really should be added to the web presets in the next version - it sounds soooo good!

I don't have the most keen ear nor the technical knowledge to see any "grey" areas about this preset, but it sounds pretty damn good to me with the FM Transmitter off!

Yay! This is what I'm meaning by copying / "downgrading" the presets. I don't think it should be done for the presets you have for FM, as they do not automatically translate downwards due to the HPF/LPF settings and other settings. I feel that a preset developer should provide a preset for each section they want the preset to be in, and you really should only be directly importing whatever the person sends you, other than perhaps volume leveling in the generic section via the simple clipper volume adjustment.

...and yes, I'm aware that Pusher is probably the loudest in generic... I was trying to get the most out of non-paid features.

As for testing the changes on my AMD, I still have not had the time. I don't know how much you need to worry about Pentium 4 and AMD K8-based systems, in all honesty. It would be good if you could add in something to the installer to grab the system info and report it back to you one time so that you could get some statistics on what all processor architectures are in use.

Talking about translations from FM to normal.
At the moment I am busy to transfer a FM preset to something without FM things. The only things I can't find so quickly are lowpass filter (LPF) and high pass filter (HPF). Yes, the expert modus is switched on.
