I don`t know what happened but i had a hangup .Was away from the computer and when i came back it was hanged , both winamp and ST . Talk about Stand alone. May be it`s a fluke ? To be continued testing to see if it will do that again .
Uhm, you were running the stand alone version and Winamp was hung up as well? That cannot be related to Stereo Tool if you were not running the DSP plugin!

Hmm, seems that ST has problems to set the correct time-zone in Linux: system-time-zone is definetly set to UTC+2h (Berlin), but ST sets the RDS-CT to UTC+1h...

Not sure if this is specific to my setup, I see the meters and scopes deferred by about a second compared to what I hear. Does some setting affect this? Each time a bass kicks in, the meters and scopes show the attenuation/clipping about a second later.

I am using VST plugin.

See under Configuration -> Plugin, there's a setting to synchronize the display with the audio (you can set the host latency there). But, by default in the VST version this should have been set to 0, can you let me know what it's set to?

And is this new in this beta? Maybe you did an "ALL" load of a Winamp preset? (For the DSP version, the default latency is 2 seconds, as that's the Winamp default setting).

It's been around for sometime I believe - tried the last 4 betas. Feeling lazy to go beyond...

But I can tell you this - that slider has no effect on display. I remember using the old UI (ver 6.xx), this slider used to affect the display sync. I am sorry I can't really pin-point as to since when this setting stopped working.
BTW, it's set to 0 by default. I haven't used DSP version for ages now. So, that possibility is ruled out.

Yeah, i got the same problems, but i have more then 4 seconds delay. if i move the slider to 4 seconds nothing happens at all...

LINUX build with older environment, but newer compiler (!) so might be more optimized:
LINUX stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... ETA724-035
LINUX command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... ETA724-035

cranil7 & tjc: Does this version work?

Linux standalone beta 034: Edit: also beta 035

Jack patching works fine with Aqualung musicplayer, however with Gmusicbrowser and also VLCplayer the connection still gets lost on songchange. Didn't test others.
Used JACK Audio Connection Kit with and without Patchage.
System I-7 and Xubuntu 10.4 LTS

Loading Win settings here, they are ok now. Dots are dots.
Sometimes the input-gain gets on -99 dB, loading *.sts settings, couldn't reproduce in Beta 035

EDIT2 there are more applics that lost connection on songchange: JKmeter

Hm, if a program like VLC closes its Jack connection and re-opens it for the next file, that would make sense. I probably need to implement something to reconnect.
