- ASIO behavior should be correct now.
Installed the beta but seem to have problems getting ST to pass audio.

In ASIO mode, buffer looks like it fills then empties.

Turning off ASIO, I get an error! (Red block)

Hmm...

For ASIO mode: And the latest release (7.23) works fine with the same settings? If so, could you send me your settings file?

For non-ASIO mode: Does it work correctly with version 7.23?

I have tested the non-ASIO version on several systems, on one I get red bars as well - but that's also the case with the previous release (basically I cannot open both input and output, but I can open one of the two).

ASIO works fine here - are you using FM output with a sample rate below 176400? Because then it will act weird. (But I think it always has - will check that to make sure)

Linux versions, now with multi-threading support! (Turns out that it didn't work until now...)
Normal command line version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... ETA724-011
GUI version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... ETA724-011
HINT: Save them and then chmod to 755 or something similar!

Windows command line version with multi-threading: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 24-011.exe

Just compared old and new versions here, and at sample rate 44.1 both seem pretty much identical, however if I increase it to 176.4 kHz, the old version has a CPU load of 8% and the new one of 35%. Which probably explains why the buffers are emptying.

Will check asio later, but starting standalone with bypass on still gives no sound.

O true I didn't look at that yet.

I just fixed pasting and (partially) copying behavior in the input fields. Both in Windows and Linux.

TODO list:
- Fix ASIO higher CPU load and weird buffer behavior at high sample rates
- Fix Bypass mode
- Add Linux sound card support (maybe later).
- Red in non-ASIO mode (but: Is that new?)
- Test a lot of things (does changing buffer size / sample rate / ... cause a restart?)

Do the red bars show an error message? (Not in the bottom of the screen - no space there - but in the sections where you can configure the inputs and outputs).

Also: Are both input and output red? And are they not in the old version (7.23)? And what sound card do you have?

I don't know if this solves anything, but there was an error in the ASIO block size calculation in previous versions that's now fixed:

The machine I used is in service at the moment so can't check right now...

I think I installed the beta over 7.22 (SA). ST is running 192 kHz, card is a Trace 8.

At the time I was testing with a pipeline input and ASIO / non ASIO output on the Trace 8.

ASIO buffer looked like it wouldn't stay full. (Maybe as you suggest, it was CPU related?)

When trying the non ASIO output I got a message saying something like, "can't output at 192 kHz" or similar.
