So I am curious if the new multiband is better to use than the classic for web streaming? Right now with my settings I'm still using the old multiband, but I'd like to use the new one if it's going to give me better sound. Just curious if this was mostly changed for FM, or if it helps all sound.

Thanks.

It is better. Also, it has nothing with FM, so it's for general sound.

It's slightly better, particularly with mids and highs. The amount of value is dependent upon whether or not your system can handle the increased workload. I think I remember that your system should be OK, but anyone running any kind of processor with only 1MB of L2 cache will need to make sure to reduce the quality slider in the Configuration / CPU & latency menu, or highly overclock, or both.

Edit: After I said that, I compared my latest Cobalt to Bojcha's latest R-Type. R-Type has a lower CPU load. That confused me, so I compared to Jeroen's presets. Jeroen's presets have higher loads. Not sure what the difference is yet.

Edit 2: It's the number of bands in multiband that you choose. Looks to me like the load is mostly equivalent on my system at about 7 bands, or slightly less if not using some features in the new multiband (band coupling, I think).

Very late Edit 3: So I don't confuse Bojcha, or anyone else, in making the comparison, I turned off oversampling and declipper, and changed strictness to 8 for both R-Type and 80s Style. I have no idea what the comparison would be if I enabled all that stuff, as my system cannot cope with it.
