Version 7.21 is released! See the download page.

Changes:
- FM: Improved Stokkemask (ITU-R.SM1268) filter for composite clipper (sounds better).
- FM: Fixed several bugs, mainly noticeable in SSB mode, at lower Quality settings.
- FM: SCA1 channel is now displayed in MPX graph.
- Updated and added some presets.

Web version of Cobalt updated, but Generic remains a version behind. Preset process still needs review. Maybe at least a lengthier wait time between RC and release so that people can check?

Can I get an explanation of what, precisely, the Multipath Clipper does, or should be used for? Thanking you!

Is this release version 7.21? My Stereo Tool says it's version 7.22(standalone)

Hans probably slapped a couple of changes in there that bumped it up to 7.22. I noticed the help after install page says 7.22 as well. Pretty sure it was done on purpose.

Yea didn't have time yet to update the site. There was a bug in the RDS encoder in v7.21 that I needed to fix immediately, hence the new version. Will update the site etc. today.

I've read something about a compressor with a freeze window to allow for small controlled dynamics, i.e. it will do nothing if the audio changes are within some given boundaries, similarly like the loud burst protection only steps in if there was a low enough drop before.

Has someone experience with that and can comment on if this is a worth having feature?

So after all these new developments with ST, one can only guess what's next?!

First thing I really need to improve is Stokkemask (ITU-R.S1268) clipping. The current version is compliant but if you turn it on for really loud presets with strong stereo separation it sounds bad (better than in earlier versions, but still). So I want to add an RF spectrum viewer first, then try some options (for example: Disabling the current Stokkemask clipper when there are no overshoots, since the filter is far too aggressive at the moment).

In my opinion, the important parts of that are:

- Current version is compliant.
- Sounds bad with "on-edge" type of presets.

I understand that this is a "home turf" item, meaning this is in use where you live, but if you're compliant, is focusing first, before anything else, on improving performance for some settings that may be considered "out of spec", the best prioritization, given the relatively small market that would / "is supposed to" use the technology (Netherlands only vs. rest of the world)?
