I am using the StereoTool 7.20 plugin with Winamp 5.63 under Windows 7 64 bit. Since version 7.10 (which was my first 7.x version) StereoTool doesn't show an icon in the taskbar, when I minimize it (or when I choose to start the minimized version). That used to work fine under 6.x on my system. (And yes, I made sure that icons and notifications are enabled in the taskbar customizing, but StereoTool doesn't even show up there).

I usually use MultipleDSP 1.6 as a DSP stacker, but even when using StereoTool directly as DSP plugin, it behaves like that.

It would be nice to get this working again,

Bernhard

I'm using W7 64 bit as well and here it works. But I often see that I need to click on the small arrow icon to make it visible. That doesn't help in your case I suppose?

Clicking on the small arrow icon doesn't make a difference, but I just noticed that when I click on the "close" button, I get the icon in the taskbar immediately, but when I click on the "minimize", I don't get it at all. So perhaps you're doing something different on close, than on minimize?

You're talking about the DSP plugin right? If you press minimize it shouldn't - and never did! - go to the icon tray but just be minimized and stay on the task bar. Doesn't it go there?

Yes, you are right, it goes to the task bar. I just didn't notice it, because I have my taskbar icons stacked per application and so it just shows up under the Winamp icon and I never looked under there. Sorry for the confusion.

Actually it would be nice to have an option "Hide, when minimized", so it will go always to the icon tray, even minimized (like the Windows Taskmanager). But in any case now that I understand how it behaves it's fine for me in any case.

Thank you again,
Bernhard

Actually it's work fully logical! It's sort of application that is hosted through other program and close does not mean that - so best for what it can be used is for minimize_to_tray.

Hi Bojcha,

Thanks for responding, but I am not sure that you got my point.

I didn't object that it minimizes to the icon tray on close, in fact I am very happy that it does. But I got confused with the fact that it didn't minimize to the icon tray on minimize, instead minimizing to the task bar.

Thanks again & Best regards,
Bernhard
