Thx, now I know :)
I'd like to now how "take some shortcuts" and "take oversampling shortcast" affect sound :)
"take some.." default is on but description "reduces quality"?
Ah, "some shortcuts" is similar to the Quality slider - but at a smaller scale. It does cause some artifacts in some rare cases.
"Oversampling shortcuts" - clipping should be done at 4x oversampling to catch all the spikes. With this enabled, part of the clipping is done at only 2x oversampling. No quality effect, but it might leave bigger spikes through.

Composite Clipper and SSB running on a Q6600 Intel machine (core2quad). As long as cpu quality is set below 50%, no dropouts, exceeding 50%, dropouts. SSB working, as well, can't take more exacting measurements yet, Didn't notice any audible difference in the separation with SSB turned ON (probably optimal mode). Composite Clipper definitely puts more "air" in the HF.

I did notice the output flashing RED occasionally. Is this expected behavior?

cpu 1-60%
cpu2-15 to 20%
cpu3-80%
cpu4-15 to 20%

(running with quality at 50%)...can't go over 50% or dropouts occur.

Nice job Hans!

Do you use that with XP ?
Try to set affinity for ST to 2 cores.
Also i know that 'that' cpu easy works at 3GHz.. will help alot (with proper cooling).

right now using XP Service Pack 3.

I'm not sure where you set the affinity for stereo tool do you mean multi-core? if so, it is enabled.

Many thanks...is there an upgraded or newer Radium preset, btw? nice work!

Affinity in Task Manager.. Go to Processes, Right click on StereoTool.exe > affinity > select 2 cores. You will see that all 4 are used.

Any idea what can be causing the output to flash red? I haven't checked total mean deviation, yet on a monitor. One might assume that it is exceeding?
