I'm testing now ssb standard on density terrain with many buildings and maybe is little better, but not measurment only ears ;)
Ok, thanks! Please also check the other 2 SSB modes, I expect the best results with the 3rd mode. And a test with the multipath clipper would also be really great :)

Actually I have problem to use full quality, because pc installed with transmitter is very slow :( and I hear poorer sound then normal stero without new clipper...
I did some experiment with pre processed audio with preemphasis and lossless STL, next is ST used only as ssb stereo encoder with disabled composite clipper, sound now is better but some spikes of course..

Standar SSB is problematic on some smartphones with fm radio, strange dynamic separation loss occurs.
And why speration in mpx tool (ST->VAC->mpx tool) is poor with standard ssb? I don't understand it...

It's not.. same separation w/ or w/o ssb.

Performance (or actually, separation over 2 cores) is improved a bit more now; on my system I can now run the composite clipper, with SSB mode, strictness 20, and on top of that I can increase the declipper Quality slider to 4 and Step size reduction to 96%!

Running a build now. The potential L-R ticking effect is not yet fixed. Will look into that later.

CPU load improvement: Clipper load is shared over 2 cores now.

On my system (laptop i7, 2.6 GHz) I could increase the Clipping Strictness from 12 to 20 and have a bit of headroom left.

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 20-006.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 20-006.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 20-006.dll

IMPORTANT: To get a good sound from the composite clipper:
1. Enable it :) It's an option under Advanced Clipper
2. Under Advanced Clipper -> CPU, set 'Strictness' to 20 (at least above 10; check how much your CPU can handle) and Stronger Clipping to around 25-30%.

Warnings:
1. This version contains a bug. I don't know what it is, but when I close it it crashes. This could lead to any type of weird behavior on other systems, so don't use it on-air yet!
2. You will need a license update to use this! Otherwise the 'unregistered options in use' thingy will pop up, and you'll get messages through the music (every 4 hours).

No Bojcha, not same separation, try test with prepare wave file with pink noise and left channel silence, next ST->VAC 1->MPX TOOL->VAC 2->record on some soft lika adobe audition or similar and switch betwen ssb/normal.

On a machine running XP x32 and an Intel Q9650 CPU with Composite Clipper, SSB, and Multipath Clipper on I get CPU usage of 33%. Core=0=15%, Core 1=2%, Core 2=12% and Core 3=4%. I have Advanced Clipper -> CPU, Strictness set to 20, and Stronger Clipping set to 30%.

Sample rate 176.4kHz, Transmitter options, Pre-Emp 50us, and Encode Stereo.

No buffer issues like I had previously with the same settings.

Sparation spectrum mpx tool output:

ssb mode 1

ssb mode 3

I think this is some phase or group delay mismatch betwen main and sub, or some part of ribbon is not match to rest.
