Ok, nothing big here, but I added a very useful slider: "Density" (maybe I should call it 'Density Drive'). It's basically the same as the normal Drive slider, BUT the output levels (in case of multiband compression, per band) are adjusted to compensate for the change in drive.

BETA061:
Stand alone: Failed :( http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 04-061.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 04-061.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 04-061.dll

DONE:
- Compressors: Density slider, to be used instead of Drive in simple mode.

TODO:
- Crash reported by Christian Steifen: If you change to a different category and quickly change something it crashes (VST version). Unable to reproduce, waiting for feedback - was this with BETA054?
- Multiband compressor: Differentiate between Basic/Advanced/Extreme... modes
- Singleband Compressor: Differentiate between Basic/Advanced/Extreme... modes
- Compressors: Replace 'Speedup' by 2 sliders: Aggression and Softness.
- Update "main" processing window
- Update/Order presets
- Change version number
- Release

New attempt:

BETA062:
Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 04-062.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 04-062.exe
VST: Not available. http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 04-062.dll

DONE:
- Compressors: Density slider, to be used instead of Drive in simple mode.
- Multiband compressor: Differentiate between Basic/Advanced/Extreme... modes
- Singleband Compressor: Differentiate between Basic/Advanced/Extreme... modes
- Compressors: Replace 'Speedup' by 2 sliders: Aggression and Softness. (Question: Is Softness useful?)

REMOVED:
- Crash reported by Christian Steifen: If you change to a different category and quickly change something it crashes (VST version). Unable to reproduce, waiting for feedback - was this with BETA054? Assuming that this is fixed.

TODO:
- Maybe remove 'Softness' sliders again -> I hear little effect when using it and I don't like what I hear
- Maybe also adjust Limiter levels to 'Density' slider setting. -> Yes, sounds better
- Update "main" processing window
- Finish: Multiband/Singleband compressors: Is Basic mode good? Or should that be simpler, and more settings only visible in Advanced mode?
- Median display?
- Update/Order presets
- Change version number
- Release

I don`t know why one slider is for attack based , the other is for release based ... and we have three places to adjust them ?
Why don`t you leave only two sliders from x0.10 to x100.00 , because the whole multiply of sliders goes to x100 ?? just make them form 0.10 to 100 and we will have only two sliders with exact name and understanding .
For simple modes , these sliders will be invisible and with default values of x1.00.
This is my opinion.

ammm may be in simple mode you may split the two sliders in only one ... to act like two ?!? something like that ? one slider to make the two (attack and release) multiplies to work with. And then if user set mode to extreme ... he will have separate slider for attack and release. Think is reliable

I'm not too sure that the 'softness' slider is useful at all - I might remove it.

That would mean though that an important piece of information that shows whether processing is working properly would not always be visible in the meters area. Is it really that confusing to you? Would it be an option to display it differently? (If so, how?)

For me it's confusing, and actually i really don't know what exactly it means and how that will any help me. Also, no problem to be on, i already ignore it long time ago.

For me, much more important then this are, numbers for dB for most meters, bolder line at -12dB meter in MB, more accurate meters (if there is still meter problem with coupling, for example, or any other reason), some RMS or, even better, BS.1770 meter for output power, possibility for real (not oversampled or something else) scope output, etc..

After playing a lot of music, all lines should be at the same level, otherwise the behavior is not 'linear' and the sound will change if the input level changes.
