Hans,

Just downloaded and tested the latest beta 4.03, sounds great.. Allot better then the other beta versions!
Low's and high's are well balanced! And did not hear any distortion (anyway in the songs i tested..)

Thx,

Martijn

Yes. I've tried to improve the performance a bit today (there was a new version out of the compiler that I'm using), but it turns out that with this new "improved" compiler version Stereo Tool requires 15% more CPU power than with the older version... So I just went back to the previous version, and I'm building the release now. Should be 100% identical to this beta.

About sound.. now with juli@ i think now sounds like have more resolution and more precise sound .. but still when i put FM Volume to 110% and more .. i have peeks at home in mpxtool (101%-105%) .. i must do calibration again now .. but maybe that is all because i am 6km from transmitter and noise do that peeks. Anyway noise is under -72 in mpxtool ... At home if i play something to ST and from ST via VAC to mpxtool direct, no chance that any peek goes over 100% .. but i supose that is ideal... i'll see tonight after re-calibration.

About wifi link...
Sound from OnAir PC (maya44) goes to mixer and from mixer (balanced cables) to Behringer limiter (soft level mode) from here goes to Juli@ pc1 (balanced cables) .. same pc have software to send audio over IP at 48kHz wav (1.5Mbits)using asio ..
Now over wifi to transmitter pc (5km) with same software (recive mode). Overall latancy is 60ms. i use VAC to play what came from pc1 and that is input for ST. I just wonder now is it possible to use Juli@ and not VAC.
And that's it.

Hi Bojcha,

Congratz on the Juli@, about time that I buy one.

Can you go to the transmittors site and measure there? There might be multipath in play which completely makes the measurements wrong.
-72dB for a commercial receiver/transmittor is not bad and certainly when you say that you are x amount of km away from the transmittor.

My ears are getting better so I hope to catch up soon :-)

Hi Bochja, you say you are measuring 6km away from the transmittor site.
If you do measurements away from the transmittor the signal itself might change.

1) because of multipath which means that the signal might reflect on stuff like mountains and buildings and the reflected signals are delayed because the distance is longer then the direct signal from antenna to receiver. This causes phase issues. Explained easy ;)

2) conditions and the above mentioned things sometimes cause AM modulation on the FM signal

Well again it sounds great. Must be that I can't tell the difference between some of the version sound because I'm doing webstreaming with soft compression? In any case it sounds superb! I play all different kinds of music from high treble to deap bass, new to old songs. I can't hear any distortion or any pumping of sound on any tracks at all! :) I'm using your Web Radio soft compression preset. I turn the loudness up just a bit (not sure if it makes a differnce) to 3x. Thanks again Hans for making such an awesome tool!
