I have a question to the new interface:

what's about all the graphical Output? Such as Wave-Forms, Sound-Level or Azimuth?

Does the new Interface only have the parameters?

No, those things will be displayed as well. But I'm first working on the parameters... First few things are starting to work now but it 'feels' very clumsy. Probably among others because I have no highlighting on mouseover/mousedown yet.

After looking at the current interface and talking to others I'm coming to the conclusion that the current interface is getting far too crowded. I think I need something like this (either horizontally or vertically; vertically would allow me to display audio levels when nothing else is displayed which is a nice extra):

A few screenshots.

Question: How clear / organised / usable does this look?

If I reduce the font size and put all the text in a single line (different from the current display of the sliders), I can save more vertical space and probably put the entire interface on only the top half of the 800x600 window. Which makes it usable on a touch screen, with a lot of room for other things.

Would it be possible to implement a scaling option (especially for the time axis) for the scope in the new GUI ?

Or would that be too complicated ?

It's possible... Won't do it now immediately though.

I wonder if you think that it would be useful or not ?

If you can do a similar web interface, it's gonna be just perfect. It's suitable for both web and GUI.

Hans,

If you get the chance, take a look at the WEBGUI of the omnia ONE, verry straight forward and not to crowdy.
You might get some ideas after looking at it.

Kind regards, Jeroen.

Sorry to miss you at the IBC.
