This beta sounds awesome. I was even able to slightly put the slider to about .4 towards the deep lows. It sounds perfect. No distortion and the bass is clean and deep. Great Job!

Bojcha, you said that this also occurs in the DSP version, right? I've tried a number of things (turning low latency on and off, switching between different quality settings etc.), and I've measured the frequency response and RMS volume of the MPX signal, but I don't see any difference at all......

There are some volume differences just after starting ST compared to after it has been running for a while due to the pre limiter which responds very slowly, but after a while - say 10-20 seconds or so - that difference should be gone. I assume that you measured for a longer period than that?

Could you make a recording using VAC (please use the correct samplerate etc.), and send that to me, which shows the two different volumes? That way I might be able to see what is happening exactly. I know that it's going to be a very big file (.WAV at 192 kHz, if you compress it to MP3 you would loose most of the data), I only need one channel though... It would be best if you could record the same piece of audio, both soft and loud.

uploading .....
ok..
- Starting ST (standalone) winamp plays on VAC1
- Reset ST (to be sure)
- Load preset FM Europe Stereo
- turn on fm emphasize, 50us, rds and stereo
- set input VAC1 and FM output VAC2
- mpxtool input VAC2. (output any)

- restart ST

track
