Hi Forum,

the tooltip in 9.35 advises not to use the streaming output using libVLC for AAC and MP3. Now what about the internal streaming engine? Does that also suffer from the weakness of the VLC codecs and is not recommended?

VLC is quite unstable, hence the recommendation not to use it. If VLC would crash, it would take Stereo Tool with it and there's nothing we can do against that. The internal streamer does not have this issue, though it doesn't support AAC yet.

I'm using the Stereo Tool stream encoder - works well. There is a bug in Stereo Tool that doesn't initialize the Event Manager at start-up. This can be overcome by manually starting the Event Manager.
