Post subject:  UECP Client (Software) with RDS on ST
Hi!
I'm trying UECP with Magic RDS does not work. Only establishes a connection but does not send or receive data.

Which UECP Client (Software) works with StereoTool?

I want to use UECP for TA (Traffic Announcement).

Hi,

I don't think that Magic RDS supports UECP! It uses some ASCII-based protocol. Which Stereo Tool does as well, but you'll have to set it to ASCII mode (under UECP settings) and Magic RDS to unidirectional.

I have not yet implemented TA for ASCII-based protocols, I guess I should! So far, for ASCII I only looked at commands that the program Arctic Palm sends. TA should definitely be added!

Magic RDS from Pira not use UECP.
If you want something with UECP protocol you can try RDSStudio. http://www.djsupport.nl/eng/
To connect to Stereotool you must have a virtual RS232 port.

Yes, but Stereo Tool 8.00 supports the protocol from Magic RDS as well. I've seen it work when I tested it before I replied in this thread.

In ASCII mode, yes. Just suggest an app who works with UECP. :)

With Magic RDS works some features.
Hans... i'll be waiting the miracle (ST all features with Magic RDS)
