Hi everyone, I've only been using Stereo Tool for about 5 weeks & it's fantastic. I've made my first preset, but need to brighten it up, (similar to Bojcha's Unreal Engine 2), but I don't know how, everything I try doesn't seem to help? If I can get it right, it'll be used on FM & web stream. I'm trying to get an enhanced natural, even, sound that's bright, crisp & clear, (but not too over the top). All help appreciated. |

Well I've got somewhere, it's brighter now. I borrowed some settings from Unreal Engine 2, not sure exactly what ones hit the mark, think it was a combination of them. The biggest thing I noticed was, that in the Natural Dynamics Smoothing section, Unreal Engine 2 has Rise Speed settings of x10.00dB/ms, but the most I can set in ST V7.84 is x4dB/ms? Dropping out Multiband 2 changes the sound, but I'm not sure if it's better or worse? Thoughts. Here's version 2. |

Here's the final version of Alpine Dreams, I've got it running on both FM & Web Stream at 64k AAC. I borrowed a couple of settings from Unreal Engine 2, & had a little bit of help & advice from Paul at TCOM (Hans's Oceania Stereo Tool distributor) to finish it off. The bass has been totally rewritten from Version 2, with other adjustments done as well. I've been told it has the sound & spectrum plot of an Optimod 8200. I'm not claiming it does & wasn't aiming for an Optimod sound, but if it does, that's a bonus. You can hear our stream on our web site http://www.coastfm.org.au or on Tunein http://tunein.com/radio/Coast-FM-963-s8113/ |
