Hi, Maybe a minor thing, but I like to mention it anyway: it may be handy to highlight a changed slider, remember the previous value and easily have the opportunity to jump back to it (for example by clicking the middle mouse-wheel-button and/or hit backspace on the keyboard). Reference should be the value that was present when you've loaded in a preset, or started (or maybe minimised) the software. Of course you can save your setting every time you change a single value to a new STS-file, but I think that this is, in some cases, not very practical (esp. if you want to quickly try some things, compare if it makes a difference and maybe just go back to last value for one or two single sliders you've changed). Also, when the changed values are highlighted (for example the standard white letters become red or something), you can quickly browse through the tabs on the left and see, what you've changed. So you don't have to remember every single step you've made. The remembered and highlighted values could then be cleared, when you save your settings to a STS-file, and then become the new references. |

I suggested this ages ago but it never got any reply from the programmer. My idea was of using a simple undo/redo feature (Ctrl-Z, Ctrl-Y). |

It's definitely a good idea. (And yes I know you asked for it before). I think I never put it on my todo list though, will do that now. Sorry. (It might still take ages before I have time for this though). Maybe this would work: Right-click once: Go back to value when the preset was loaded (or when Stereo Tool was started). Double right click: Go back to 'default' value. ? |
